Petals & Pause – Community Sessions (Grant Supported)

Slow down, step into the garden, and spend a beautiful morning on the farm creating something seasonal and meaningful.

Thanks to grant funding, we are proud to offer a limited number of fully subsidised Petals & Pause Community Sessions at The Olde Creamery.

These workshops follow the same relaxed, hands-on format as our standard sessions — with the same flowers, care, and hospitality — but are made accessible at no cost to participants.

This initiative supports regional connection, wellbeing, and time to pause during a challenging season for many in agriculture.

What’s included

• A guided walk through the flower paddock,, farmed with care and regenerative principles

• Learn about our dahlias — we grow over 500 cultivars — and see our own breeding program in bloom

• Pick-your-own seasonal blooms grown right here on the farm

• Step-by-step guidance to create a natural, garden-style vase arrangement

• Your own beautifully wrapped seasonal vase arrangement to take home

• A generous, house-made grazing-style light lunch, prepared on site using our award-winning farm produce, set either in the garden or in our rustic country dining room (heat and weather dependant)

• Tea, coffee, cold drinks, to enjoy during the session

The details

• Start times: Saturday 11th & 25th April 26 10:00am to 1pm to let our farmers finish their duties!

• Start times: Saturday 18th April & 2nd May 26 1:30pm to 4:30pm for those with morning duties!

• Duration: Approximately 3 hours

• Group size: Small and relaxed — maximum 8 guests per session

• Location: The Olde Creamery, Numurkah

No prior floral experience is needed. This workshop is designed for flower lovers of all skill levels. You’ll leave with practical tips, a finished arrangement, and a deeper appreciation for seasonal, locally grown flowers.

Please note

• Seasonal means seasonal. Flower varieties will change depending on what’s blooming at the time. Every workshop is different. In some cases, additional foliage or blooms may be sourced from trusted local growers.

• This is a working commercial farm, not a formal garden. Paths may be uneven and the paddock is always evolving and yes we will have some weeds - but what we do have is memory making, great fun and a relaxing experiance. 

• Closed-in shoes are required. Please dress for farm conditions. Hats and sunscreen are strongly recommended.

• To protect our plants, all participants must follow our on-farm sanitisation instructions.

• Dietary requirements must be noted at the time of booking.

• Flies are part of farm life. We do our best — but this is regional Australia, surrounded by hardworking farmers (including us).
