Gareth and Jamie

We established The Olde Creamery in 2016, after purchasing our home and working together to create our dream. Now we welcome you to come and stay in our own patch of paradise. We have a passion for food, creativity and gardening, which together work to create the oasis that The Olde Creamery is. We look forward to meeting you when you visit us at The Olde Creamery!

Timeline

A short story about The Olde Creamery

March 2012

March 2012 after meeting online, Gareth finally plucked up the courage to meet Jamie and they met on a park bench in Cohuna. A romantic meal of chips & gravy were shared!

June 2016

June 2016, following the passing of Jamie’s Nan in the UK who had bequeathed him enough money to pay for the deposit and initial renovations. The Boys purchased what was to become The Olde Creamery. The place felt like our home to moment we drove up the driveway and we left the viewing with our offer accepted.

July 2016

July 2016, the day of settlement arrived and with it a massive storm which felled a huge gum tree which had stood in the back garden. Guests can still see it remains, which the boys crafted into a pond and water feature.

July to Nov 2016

Many KM’s driven each weekend, many KFC’s consumed and many nights camping on the floor as we left our rental and jobs in Swan Hill and came to TOC to renovate the whole house. Surprising no arguments occurred from memory, despite Jamie’s Inpatience and constantly moving onto another project before Gareth had finished the first.

Nov 2017

As a joke Jamie listed the property on Airbnb, thinking “who the hell would want to come and stay in the middle of Waaia”….how wrong he was!!

March 2021

The Olde Creamery product range commenced.
