Our farm is joining the growing network of local micro flower farms in Australia, who, as collective now bring to the market an abundance and diversity of Australian Grown seasonal flowers. This reduces the number of flowers being imported from overseas (cold stored for several months, fumigated/preserved with numerous chemicals and sometimes artificially scented/coloured), and the significant carbon footprint imported flowers create is immense.

Purchasing from small scale passionate farmers, you will soon experience the difference this delivers. Blooms that will last longer in your home and plants that will be stronger and better acclimatised to our climates. Additionally, your purchase helps to support the economy of your local communities.

We care about the footprint we leave as a business and where possible have implemented sustainable practices into our business model. This includes not only using offset carbon emissions through our preferred shipping partner, but also through a monthly donation to Greening Australia (equivalent to our grid drawn average electricity usage). All our packaging has been carefully selected to ensure that it can be either biodegraded, composted, or recycled. This even includes our sticky tape and packaging noodles.

How do we ship our plants?

We offer free delivery to Nathalia, Numurkah areas. Collection can also be arranged from our property, with a garden tour and coffee thrown in!

Please select delivery during the ordering process, so that you are not charged for shipping at checkout.

Shipping – Condiments – FLAT RATE – $12

We post Australia Wide, we will endeavor to get your order mailed/delivered as soon as possible! Choose Shipping as the check-out option.

Plants/Seeds – $4

Unfortunately, due to quarantine restrictions, we are unable to send stock to Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania.

Seeds are shipped throughout Winter until the middle of August. Whilst I aim to have all seeds sorted for sale by June, it is a time-consuming process.

Seeds are shipped at $4 per order.


Our tuber stock will only be sent to you with a viable eye/s, as such we DO NOT POST TUBERS UNTIL SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER. We provide detailed instructions on growing your plants, both with the purchase and through our website to help you get bloom after bloom, year after year!

Garden ready plants will NOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL LATE OCTOBER/NOVEMBER when the risk of frost has usually passed. Additionally, we only ship our orders once per week (Monday’s) to avoid stock sitting over the weekend in transit to you.  Our plants are only shipped Express Post.

Combined Shipping

We will release our tubers sales in stages, usually mid Winter and Spring. We understand that paying for postage twice can be annoying. As such, we are happy to combine shipping on any order made for Tubers ONLY. The reason for stages is that it spreads the availability of cultivars to customers, and allows me to move tubers confirmed to have an eye/s present.

To receive a refund on additional shipping paid, please send an email to and include all order numbers. At the time of shipping your orders, a refund will be processed and emailed to you. Alternatively, you can receive a mystery tuber instead of a refund – please advise in your email.

Our polite request to you…

Whilst we endeavour to fulfil your order as soon as possible, we ask that you keep in mind that we are a very small business, just myself and Gareth. We also currently work off the farm as well.

As you will know the Dahlia buying season is extremely busy as growers, like yourself, try to secure their much awaited new varieties! (This is also why we are propagating garden ready plants to ensure demand, after the tubers have gone).

All orders received will be processed in order of purchase. 

Whilst every care is made to make sure you get the correct variety of Dahlia purchased, please understand that we are humans and can sometimes make mistakes. If this does happen to the be the case, we are happy to provide a refund or replacement.


Each Tuber mailed by us will contain at least one eye and be larger than a 9V battery in overall size.

In relation to Tubers, refunds, returns and replacements are not accepted 5 days after delivery of your purchase.  

Issues due to the arrival of live plants, must be lodged on the day of delivery by the shipping partner.

In either instance, we require photos to be attached to your email so that we can not only resolve the issue but also learn from the issue, reducing the chances of re-occurrence. 

Whilst we understand issues are frustrating, we would politely request that you refrain form seeking advice from other growers on social media until we have had the opportunity to resolve any issues first.

The Olde Creamery is unable to be held accountable for the following:

Tuber rot after planting, incorrect tuber storage, Growing conditions, pest damage after planting
